Wow will we be glad when this construction is done! Or at least moved down the street. For the last two days this has been the view from our drive way. Today we have no water, no phone, no sewer, and a huge ditch in the drive way so we have no way to leave. And they didn't even warn us! Both of our vehicles are trapped along with Grandma Lynda's van. She had to come pick us up for T-ball yesterday and I made the mistake of parking in the drive way. I was going to park across the street but they are digging over there also and they are diggin up and down both sides of my house. So my only other alternative would have been to park a street over and haul all three kids and their stuff home. Yesterday they warned us first, but not today! And what ticks me off the worst is that they are messing with the new valve Dad helped my put in yesterday. They will probably break that too. I guess I should feel lucky. They have only flooded our house once. My poor neighbors have been flooded three times! I guess this too will pass . . . .

Toddler Trouble!
I've said it before and I'm sure I will say it many more times. . ."Never turn your back on a two year old!" It is amazing how fast a toddler can make a gigantic mess! He was pretending to be a dinosaur and got into my tub of butter. Then he tried to find me so there was this trail of little butter drops and butter hand prints throughout the whole house. It was one of those moments where you are torn between freaking out and laughing your head off. I chose to laugh and made him let me take pictures for his scrapbook. I've decided that messes clean up and babies don't stay little long enough. So instead of being a stress case, I am going to enjoy my last days of having a toddler. Even if it exhausts me!

Over the Hedge!
Ode to Sody
Poor Sody has gone to the happy hunting grounds. We hope he is able to run free on all four legs now. The kids are all missing him. They loved him even though he constantly ran away from home, dug huge holes, chewed on everything, and made big messes. Cash is missing his buddy also. His leg was starting to hurt him more and more. It never healed right and he didn't use it at all. The day before he died, we took him swimming at the reservoir and he had tons of fun. He could barely walk after jumping in the water again and again. Gabe is sad but knows that he is probably having fun chasing cats in heaven.

Debit or credit?
The other day I was listening to Raygen play in her room. She was using a little cash register and pretending to be a cashier. I heard her say, "Ok will that be everything today? . . . .Your total is $10.95. . . . Is it credit or debit?. . . . .Thank you for coming in and have a nice day!" It was all I could do to contain my laughter. I never realize exactly how much my children are soaking in each day until they repeat it out of the blue. I just hope and pray that they only retain positive things. And who knows, maybe there will be customer service in Raygen's future.
