Thanksgiving

Well we had a rockin' time at Grandma Lynda's house on Thanksgiving. We ate and talked and watched TV and ate some more and watched the men sleep and listened to the kids play and did I mention we ate? It was a lot of fun to see Lisa and Aubree and Brianne. After they left, Tyson and the kids and I tried to get Mom and Dad to go to the movie with us but they didn't want to. So we went alone. We went to see "Bolt". It was so cute! We all laughed our heads off! It is very worth seeing. We also made a "Thankful tree". All of us wrote things we are thankful for on the leaves and then glued it together. It was fun to see what the kids wrote. Ridge apparently is thankful for ants and dinosaurs, Gabe and Raygen are thankful for their goats (we got a second one by the way), Tyson is thankful for his freedom (hint, hint, wink, wink), and I am thankful for my cute little family.
It was a very good Thankgiving Day and I just want to take this opportunity to tell my family how thankful I am for each one of them. I am so lucky to be born into one of the best families in the entire world and marry into the other one. Thank you all so much for all you do for me! I love you tons!!
And I am also extremely thankful for my friends. I know that my family has to love me but you guys don't. So thanks for putting up with me. I don't know what I would do without you!

Horse Ride With Dad

Today Dad and I went on a small horse ride in Riverdale, above Olivia's house. It was a beautiful day so we decided to take advantage of it, even if it was just for a little while. I rode Spunk and Dad rode Dakota. Spunk is starting to slow down a little bit but she does pretty good for 20. Dakota is turning out to be a good horse and it was a lot of fun to ride around and listen to Dad's stories. Gabe and Raygen were in school and Ridge stayed home to take a "nap" with Grandma. He did more goofing then sleeping but I am very grateful to have my parents close by. I don't know what I would do without them. I couldn't help but think about Roo when I had this view. . .

Row Your Boat

So my cute little sister's daughter knows all the words to "I Love To See The Temple". She has the sweetest video of Kadrian singing it on her blog. I was blown away when I saw her two year old body singing a whole primary song! This morning I noticed my handsome little boy singing a song of his own and thought I would share it. He learned it when we went to the corn maze. There was a group of girls next to us singing it at the top of their lungs and I didn't realize he had such a good memory! At least it is a classic. It is his very own version of Row, Row, Row your boat, only he says "ship" and "throw your teacher overboard and listen to her scream"
I know---I'm so proud.

Thomas

I was talking to Beth Ann on the phone this morning while I was making Thomas the Turkey. She told me to post a picture of him on my blog in case she didn't get to my house before Thanksgiving. Here it is but that is not an excuse for us not to get together before then. I made this one for my house and one just like it for mom's house. I was a little worried that he wouldn't get to debut before the big day since it takes me forever to do anything. I don't know about the rest of you but I get about 200 times more done when the kids are in bed. (Of course by then I am usually too exhausted to start a project.) I guess I better get started on my Christmas stake soon. . .

What I'm Reading Tag---

Well I was "tagged" for a blog game - these are the rules...
Rules:
1. Get the book that's on your nightstand (or whatever you happen to be reading).
2. Open it to page 56 and find the 5th sentence.
3. Post the next couple of sentences on your blog, along with these instructions.
4. Do not go and find your favorite book; it has to be the one you are reading now!
5. Tag five other people to do the same.

OK, this is kind of embarassing. I've read all the "grown-up" books in the house so I have to admit that I am now reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It is part of The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Here is the 56th page, 5th sentence, and a few more..."Caspian nodded to Bern and then stood aside. Bern and Drinian took a step forward and each seized one end of the table. They lifted it, and flung it on one side of the hall where it rolled over, scattering a cascade of letters, dossiers, ink-pots, pens, sealing-wax and documents. Then, not roughly but as firmly as if their hands were pincers of steel, they plucked Gumpas out of his chair and deposited him, facing it, about four feet away."
I tag Lacey, Brian, Jeanette, Mom, and Candice. . . .

Krazy Kids!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! The kids enjoyed our ward party that night and loaded up on candy. Raygen won second place in the 4H Halloween Carnival costume contest. The announcer called her Little Bo Peep but she was sure to correct him--she's Scarlett O'Hara. We even rented the movie to watch so she would know who that is. Now she walks around saying, "Fiddle-dee dee!" Gabe was Hercules and Ridge was a triceratops. He was suppose to be a chicken but after a lot of protest and a screaming deal on the costume, I finally gave in. I am glad I did too, because he refused to take any part of it off all night. He loves it and still always wants to wear it.
We had a lot of fun with pumpkins this year also. We made our annual trek to the Hobbs' Pumpkin Patch to make our pick. The kids each chose 2, one to carve and one to paint. The Passeys were able to come with us so it made it a true adventure and a ton of fun!
We also went to the Pumpkin Walk in North Logan for family night. It was neat but I could not believe how many people were there. Talk about insanity! (What did I expect on a Monday night in Utah?!)
All in all--I'd say Halloween was a success. Now if only the kids would come down off their sugar highs. . . .

Halloween Fun!
